Sustainable Catalyst
Research Library
Search Sustainable Catalyst knowledge and the wider research world. Move across university libraries, public libraries, archives, scholarly indexes and repositories; ask the Research Librarian for guidance; inspect provenance and legitimate access; then carry useful material into evidence-aware research.
R3.2.1 preserves the visible breadth restored in R3. The page is intentionally substantial: important research capabilities stay visible, while dynamic consoles, compact source directories and lazy-mounted workspaces keep the experience organized instead of hiding what the Library can do.

Established Libraries, Universities, Archives & Scholarly Systems
See the research infrastructure before you search it. The console labels direct connectors, repositories, catalog gateways, scholarly indexes and public-library routes separately so institutional presence never gets confused with entitlement or evidence quality.
Authoritative Research Infrastructure Search established libraries, university research systems, scholarly indexes, archives, repositories, and public-library catalogs. Capability labels distinguish direct search from gateways and local-access routes.Research Network Console
Medical & Biomedical Knowledge
Biomedical & Clinical Evidence
Search biomedical literature, open full text, clinical trials, medical subject headings, and normalized drug concepts through governed authoritative sources.
Research and evidence infrastructure only. Results are not patient-specific diagnosis, treatment, or clinical decision support.
Research Access
Search Libraries, Universities, and Scholarly Research
Search open collections and scholarly sources, then move into institution-specific catalogs and repositories. Access Intelligence distinguishes open-now, public-digital, library, institution-login, preview, request, physical and metadata-only routes without treating availability as proof of entitlement.
Research Access
Search Libraries, University Research, and Scholarly Sources
Search open libraries, university research repositories, scholarly metadata systems, archives, and legitimate digital copies from one interface. University affiliation is not required for public discovery.
Personal Access Layer
My Libraries & Research Libraries
Connect libraries where you have access, plus research libraries you want included in your searches. Sustainable Catalyst stores routes and preferences, never library passwords.
University & Sustainability Research Network
Search beyond the launch connectors
These institutions are registered by capability. Direct connectors, open repositories, and compliant gateways are deliberately labeled differently while deeper federation is built.
Where this is heading
A federated global research network
The connector registry is designed to expand across university libraries, public libraries, national libraries, institutional repositories, scholarly databases, and sustainability research institutions. Access resolution now prioritizes open copies and connected-library routes, while the connector registry continues expanding toward deeper holdings checks, institutional login, borrowing, physical holdings, and interlibrary loan.
University & Institutional Research
Search Major University Libraries, Repositories & Research Gateways
MIT, Harvard, University College Dublin, Berkeley, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Wageningen, Lund, ETH Zürich, Oxford, Cambridge, IIASA, Stockholm Environment Institute, United Nations University and other configured sources remain visible and searchable according to their actual connector capability.
University College Dublin is a direct research source. Research Repository UCD is available through the Library connector stack, while licensed UCD Library resources continue to follow UCD authentication and entitlement rules.
Institutional Connector Expansion
Institutional Research Network
Search a capability-labeled network of university libraries, open repositories, standards-capable catalogs, and research gateways. A gateway is never presented as a direct connector, and public discovery is never presented as proof of licensed access.

Public Library Network & Local Access
Find and Use a Public Library Near You
Search configured public-library systems, discover local holdings through WorldCat, connect libraries you actually belong to, and carry those relationships into later Access Intelligence checks without giving Sustainable Catalyst your library password.
Public Library Network
Public Library Network & Local Access
Search public-library catalogs and digital collections, connect libraries you actually belong to, and carry those memberships into Access Intelligence. Sustainable Catalyst stores the relationship to a library—not its password.
Find a Library Near You
Use the configured public-library network below, or open the WorldCat Libraries directory to locate libraries by current location, city, or postal code. Then connect the library to My Libraries without giving Sustainable Catalyst the library password.
Chicago Public Library
Catalog discovery is public. Borrowing and many licensed digital resources require a valid Chicago Public Library card or other library-authorized access.
Free Library of Philadelphia
Catalog discovery is public. Many subscription databases and digital media services are available online with a valid Free Library card, while some resources are onsite only.
Los Angeles Public Library
The public catalog can be opened without a Sustainable Catalyst account. Borrowing and licensed digital resources remain subject to LAPL card and service rules.
San Francisco Public Library
Catalog discovery is public. Digital borrowing and licensed databases may require an eligible SFPL card or onsite access.
Seattle Public Library
Catalog discovery is public. Borrowing and subscription resources remain governed by Seattle Public Library card and access policies.
St. Louis Public Library
Catalog discovery is public. Card-based digital resources and borrowing follow St. Louis Public Library eligibility rules; WorldCat can support request workflows for items not owned locally.
Toronto Public Library
Collection discovery is public. Borrowing, streaming, downloads and licensed online resources may require a valid Toronto Public Library card.
Boston Public Library
Catalog discovery is public. Borrowing and licensed digital services depend on BPL card eligibility and resource-specific access rules.
New York Public Library
Research Catalog discovery is public. Remote databases and licensed resources may require a valid NYPL card and PIN or onsite access.
Library of Congress
Large portions of Library of Congress metadata and digital collections are public. Physical requesting and restricted resources follow Library of Congress reader and collection rules.
WorldCat
WorldCat identifies holdings and online items across libraries worldwide. A holding is discovery evidence, not proof that a user can borrow or open the item.
Public catalog discovery remains open. Sign in only if you want to persist library memberships in My Libraries and use those relationships in later access resolution.
Access Intelligence
Find the Best Legitimate Access Route—and Its Limits
Compare direct open access, provider access, connected-library holdings, institutional login, requests, physical holdings and public fallback routes with visible confidence and freshness. The provider or library remains authoritative for actual access eligibility.
Research Access
Access Intelligence II
Rank legitimate access paths without confusing discovery, holdings, membership, or authentication with entitlement. Connected libraries can improve path relevance, but Sustainable Catalyst does not store their passwords or claim that a catalog search proves access.
Enter a source or identifier to rank direct, connected-library, catalog, request, and fallback routes.
Availability is not entitlement. A holdings or catalog signal is not proof of user eligibility. Provider and library sites remain authoritative for current access, rights, authentication, borrowing, and request conditions.
Research Librarian
Ask for Research Guidance Across Knowledge and Access
Use the Research Librarian as the guidance layer across Sustainable Catalyst knowledge, research-access evidence, pathways and next-step tools. It explains why material was selected and leaves consequential research actions under your control.

Complete Research System
The Full Library Stays Visible
R3 no longer hides most of the Library behind one selected category. Every remaining research area is visible below. Opening a heavy application still mounts the existing WordPress tool on demand inside a bounded workspace, so visibility does not require loading every application at once.
Complete Research System The complete Library stays visible by research area. Open a capability only when you need the full application; heavy tools remain inside a bounded workspace. Explore Knowledge Explore explicit topics, concepts and declared relationships. Surface relevant Knowledge Pathways without rendering the full pathway system up front. Open editor-governed research collections, exhibitions and knowledge spaces. Trace a publication into its declared public research context. Find & Access Research Connected research: Internet Archive · MIT · Harvard · Library of Congress · University College Dublin · Crossref · OpenAlex · DataCite · PubMed · PMC · Europe PMC · arXiv Search canonical public Library records together with explicitly published federation metadata. Resolve DOI, ORCID, ROR, ISBN, ISSN, Wikidata and PMID identifiers without collapsing ambiguity. My Research Resume account-scoped research state across the Library without creating a replacement data silo. Maintain a private personal collection, notes, progress and recommendations. Prepare explicit references-only handoffs into Workspace and return to the same Library context. Use private project context to identify deterministic gaps and next research steps. Produce & Preserve Save, organize, format and export research sources. Turn selected sources and your own analysis into source-aware DOCX or PDF outputs. Keep sources, notes, citations, structures and drafts together. Export owned projects as checksummed preservation packages without making private research public. Reuse already-public Library knowledge through bounded public interfaces and embeds. Move from public records into their declared one-hop research context. Build transparent learning routes without confusing planning with provider enrollment. Inspect production readiness, Foundation Documents, institutional research and archival infrastructure.
